2016-17 is Brigita Mazar’s 2nd season coaching high school for the Desert Vista Girls’ Volleyball program. Last year she assisted the freshman team and also the 2017 Desert Vista's inaugural year of sand volleyball.

A graduate of McClintock High School in Tempe, Brigita participated in basketball, track and field, and volleyball where she was a starting setter coached by Molly West. Encouraged by Molly to tryout for the volleyball team at Scottsdale Community College, Brigita walked on her Freshman year and was offered a scholarship for her Sophmore year playing under Regina Mannix and Pat Mooney.

During college, Brigita spent four years coaching gymnastics at Little Devils Gymnastics in Scottsdale for boys and girls ages 3 to 13. More recently, she began coaching volleyball at YMCA Ahwatukee Foothills where she coached girls 12 and under and currently coaches coed 7th-9th graders. Her introduction to club volleyball was in the 2014-15 season as Assistant Coach for Ahwatukee Club VOS 12s. Brigita completed her 2nd season for Spiral Volleyball Academy as Head Coach for the girls’s 12s team and 16s team.
